There are many differences between Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers ’ original theatrical cut and the producer’s cut. The troubled production went through several changes after principal photography and became a completely different film. After the misfire that was Halloween 5 in 1989, the series took an extended break. There are actually two versions of Halloween 6—the 1995 Theatrical Cut, and the original Producer’s Cut (which wouldn’t see an official release until the 2010s). Both cuts are radically different from each other. The Producer’s Cut is what was originally put together before Donald Pleasence passed away shortly after filming wrapped in 1995. Producer's Cut: This original cut of Halloween 6 is far from perfect and still needed polishing, but as a piece of filmmaking it's far better. There's actual mood and cohesion to a sometimes strong extent or at least stronger than the theatrical cut. The screaming is BEFORE the flashcuts, which ironically is made of sequences from the original flashback Jamie has in the producers cut which is not in the theatrical cut for some reason where we still see her carried down the hall by the cult with Wynn leading the way and she is tied on the altar.
